Diablo 2 Trapper Assassin Build Guide

Trapper Assassins can be the right characters for anyone to build in Diablo 2 when they want to enjoy the game and everything it has to offer without needing to spend all of their time killing weak enemies to be able to afford stronger gear. Trapper assassins can come in a number of different forms but all use the basic idea that instead of directly combating monsters, they will do the most damage from laying traps. This can allow players to quickly increase the amount of damage they can do without needing to spend a great deal of time working on leveling their characters up by fighting pointless monsters.
Basic Trapper Assassin Info:
Trapper assassins can come in a few different forms. Between the lightning trapsin (Trapper-Assassin), the Dragon Talon Trapper, or the Ghost Trapprt, each of these characters will work in different ways to leave traps to help kill their enemies. Finding the balance in each of the three will lead you toward having the strongest Trapsin that you can manage.
Character Stats:
The stats of your Trapper Assassin will change based upon which type you choose to use. Finding the strongest possible outcomes in each type of character may help you to choose which one to go with.
Dragon Claw:
If you go with a Dragon Claw assassin, your stats will be based upon whether you are Claw/Claw or Claw/Shield. Each has benefits and drawbacks. If you are Claw/Claw, you will have higher strength and dexterity. Your Claw Block is better at blocking elemental attacks and you will have more skills, leading to more effective traps. Unfortunately, you will not be able to block physical attacks as well and you will have no elemental damage.
Choosing the Claw/Shield combination will give you the ability to cause more elemental damage and give you a much higher block for physical attack. You will have less life and fewer skills however, leaving you without the ability to lay as many traps.
Lightning Trapsin:
The Lightning Trapsin can be built up with a heavy emphasis on lightning power skills and usually has a good backup of fire-based attacks. You can build a Lightning Trapsin to have a corpse-explosion skill, and have access to minions that will take away the risks that many lightning trapsins face.
Ghost Trapper:
Ghost trappers work in the same way that traditional Trapsins will, planting traps to kill their enemies. Ghosts, however, will also focus a great deal of their energy on improving shadow techniques. This will often give the Ghost a much higher chance of survival than the other trappers.
With a higher focus in shadow techniques, a ghost will often be able to slip by enemies unnoticed, allowing her to lay traps in more advantageous locations. Then, using Cloak of Shadows spells to confuse her enemies, she can easily lead them into traps. Using mind power, a Ghost may even be able to lure enemy monsters onto her side, using them to help fight other enemies. This is a character of great strategy during game play and the stats will reflect this. Brute strength is not an asset with a Ghost.
Character Skills:
Different skill trees will be used depending on what direction you want to take your Trapper Assassin in. Obviously, you will need to focus on building different trapper skills. If you want to be a more combative form of Trapsin, you will want to focus on the martial arts skills which are commonly used by a Dragon Claw. If you want to use more stealth and strategy, shadow techniques that a Ghost uses should be focused on.
Trapping Skills:
Death Sentry is one of the most powerful forms of trap that you can level up. The Death Sentry can kill an entire group and can be focused into a Corpse Explosion.
Lightning Sentry is a trap skill which can help to kill single enemies as well as small groups.
Charged Bolt Sentry should be used for your remaining skill points with trapping skills. It is not as powerful as the other two but can be good for a backup.
Martial Arts Skills:
Having the Dragon’s Talon martial arts skill will give you one of the fastest series of attacks in the entire game. By focusing on one target and giving it a string of powerful kicks, you can deal a great deal of damage in a short amount of time. Much of the power will come from the boots you have attached to your character but different mods can all be applied to these attacks.
Shadow Skills:
Shadow Master should be a skill that is developed to its fullest. This will allow her to lay traps on her own and stick to the shadows, giving her a better cover.
Weapon Block will work well, especially for a character who is using Claw/Claw. This gives your Trapsin a better chance of blocking physical attacks and lowering the damage she takes from them.
Cloak of Shadows will blind any enemies who have not already seen you and give you the element of surprise in attacking them. It can be very useful to helping you defeat anyone you are up against.
Mind Blast will give you the chance to confuse any enemies and immobilize them for a short amount of time. This will give you a small window of opportunity to deal a great amount of damage.
Using these skills in an intelligent way will give you the ability to build a trapper assassin who is strong and stealthy. You will be able to focus on setting traps and tricking enemies, dealing a great deal of damage. You should be able to level yourself up enough to be strong and handle yourself well in Diablo 2!

A Bowazon is the nickname of any character in Diablo 2 who is of the Amazon class who uses a bow as her primary weapon. While other players can use bows, none of them can develop their skills as far-reaching as the Bowazon can. For these characters, a bow is simply an additional weapon to use in certain cases.
