Diablo 2 Frenzy Barbarian Build Guide

The Barbarian is a type of class in Diablo 2 which will focus primarily on the sheer fighting power of your character. You will throw yourself into the thick of battles, working to destroy as many enemies as possible. It can be quite an exciting character to play as you will always be in the middle of the action. For this reason, many people love to play with the Barbarian.

Basic Character Info:
This character works best in Player Vs. Monster scenarios because of the nature of Frenzy itself. When you use Frenzy, your character will slowly work itself up to a state where the longer you fight, the more frequent and stronger your attacks will become. In short duels, the power of the Barbarian will be lessened, as the intensity won’t be raised yet. However, when you use the Frenzy Barbarian, expect to gain momentum and start tearing down your enemies with ease.

Character Stats:
The entire point of a Frenzy Barbarian runs around the type of equipment that they use and their ability for melee combat. You will need to stack the stats points for this character in a way that you will heighten their battle experience.

Strength: The more strength that you have on your Frenzy Barbarian, the stronger your attacks will be and the larger and better equipment will become available to you. You will want to put enough into strength to have the best weapons and highest attack that you can.

Dexterity: With a Frenzy Barbarian, the entire point of dexterity is to give you better mobility with handling your weapons. A Frenzy Barbarian does not focus their energy on blocking attacks, so you will not need to raise dexterity more than is needed to give you the ability to handle your weapons.

Vitality: You are going to want to have as much life as is possible with your Barbarian, so every available point should be given to the amount of life that your character has. Every point that you put into vitality gives you 4 points of life, making this a very important option for any Barbarian.

Energy: Don’t bother putting a single point here. You won’t be using energy and mana and any point allocation here will only be wasted points.

Character Skills:
Putting certain character skills onto a Barbarian will be what turns him into a Frenzy Barbarian. Of course, you are going to need to build up certain areas to make him into a force to be reckoned with. Otherwise, your character will be weaker and not able to handle everything that you need him to.

Combat Skills:

Frenzy – This is obviously the most important skill that you will build up as a Frenzy Barbarian because this will be what makes you this character class. Frenzy works to make your character much stronger and faster and you should work on leveling this up as much as you can before you focus on any other area.

Double Swing – The Double Swing skill is a prerequisite that you should build up as much as you can after your frenzy is topped out because it will give you the ability to speed up your attacks and boost the frequently of your battle actions.

Leap and Bash – Both of these are prerequisites but they will often come in handy. Bash affects the type of hits that you give while leap can work to get you out of dangerous situations.

Combat Mastery:

Weapon Mastery – Whichever type weapon your Frenzy Barbarian ends up controlling, you should pour points into becoming a master of using that weapon. It will give you better strike potential and strength behind your blows.

Increased Stamina – Since you will be using Frenzy often, boosting your stamina will be important so you do not tire out too quickly. This is a prerequisite to be filled, but will give you the ability to last longer and fight harder.

Iron Skin – You only need to give a single point to Iron Skin, but it will help you to raise your defense.

Natural Resist – Since you will be playing a Frenzy Barbarian without a shield, you will want to raise your Natural Resist to help you avoid negative impacts from attacks. This will help you to have a stronger defense, although only 1-5 points are needed in this category.

Warcries:

Taunt – This is an important warcry because it will lure enemies closer to you, stopping their ranged attacks. This will give you a better ability to resist them and put them within your range to cause damage.

Battle Orders – This is perhaps the most important Warcry that a Frenzy Barbarian can use because it will double your life in any battle that you enter. Without a shield, this is necessary.

Battle Cry – Using this warcry will help you to lessen the damage from enemies as well as lower their defense. Putting multiple points into this will heighten its effects.

Character Equipment:
Frenzy Barbarians can take a number of different weapons to help them in battle. These can range from one-handed and two-handed swords, axes, maces, and scepters.
